  1. If you are considering having a medical termination of pregnancy, prior to you being administered any medication you will have a consultation with the doctor. The doctor will take a medical history and conduct an ultrasound to determine the site of the pregnancy and to make sure it corresponds with dates. It is particularly important that you are less than 7 weeks pregnant.

  3. You should start to feel better each day after the abortion. Feeling sick, having abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting or weakness more than 24 hours after taking misoprostol could be a sign of a serious complication. Do not wait for your follow-up appointment immediately consult your doctor and prevent complexities.
