1. It is a collection of 91 online laboratories containing hundreds of experiments in 9 disciplines of science and engineering.
2. It is an initiative of HRD ministry, to provide easy access to education in rural areas.
3. It is a part of governmant's National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMCEIT)
4. It enables sharing of costly equipments across country. Nearly 300 department heads, faculty and staff representing 152 institutions have been trained across India.
